Bitcoin analysis and altcoin outlook with broader market commentary
Ivan on Tech delivers a solo market update covering Bitcoin's bullish trend, altcoin opportunities, and broader financial market conditions.
Summary
Ivan on Tech presents a bullish case for Bitcoin at $86,000, arguing that even a pullback to $82,000 would preserve the uptrend given the strength of recent price action. He highlights three technical signals — the money line flipping bullish in early September (specifically September 7th), a bullish engulfing candle, and violent continuation to the upside — as confirmation that bears are sidelined for the foreseeable future. He surveys a wide range of altcoins including Uniswap, Sui, HBar, Hyperliquid, Radium, Pangu, Cardano, and others, identifying which are entering or approaching bull trends on the weekly chart. He also comments on CryptoQuant CEO Ki Young Ju's prediction that this Bitcoin cycle will deliver only 3–5x rather than 10x, pushing back by pointing to Nvidia's lack of diminishing returns as a counterexample and arguing that trend-following is preferable to capping upside targets. He notes that President Trump filed purchases of MicroStrategy, flagging it as potentially significant given MicroStrategy's ongoing bull trend. He comments on Cathie Wood's ARK Innovation fund underperforming against major benchmarks including Meta, Apple, Google, the S&P 500, NASDAQ, and Bitcoin, the job market for developers in the age of AI, and the future of physical labor disruption via robotics and Elon Musk's Optimus project.

FULL TRANSCRIPT
Bitcoin's current price action and bull trend confirmation
Oh yes, oh yes, yes, yes. Welcome to another episode. Right now, Bitcoin is currently at $86,000. The crazy thing is that if we go to $84,000, $85,000, $83,000, and still close the week above $82,000 — which was the previous high right here, as you remember, and also the previous high back in May — it would still be bullish. You understand? Bitcoin is now playing with such a big margin. We pumped so much that we can even dump a few thousand dollars, close the week above $82,000, and still be mega mega mega mega bullish.
Bitcoin has now shown that the bears need to stay in the basement for the foreseeable future. Probably for the coming few years, bears will have to stay in the basement. Why? Because you have, number one, the money line flipping bullish. That already happened back at the beginning of September — September 7th. That's number one. Number two, you did have an engulfing candle last week. It engulfed the entirety of the prior bearish candle right here, and this is crazy strength. When you have a candle that is engulfing like that, it's a big, big sign of strength. And now, number three, you have continuation — violent continuation to the upside.
What wouldn't be good is if we just kept going lower, kind of slowly bleeding down. When you have the turn of the trend, you need fast movement — you need fast movement to the upside. And of course, the first candle was here off of the 200 moving average. You remember we discussed that the 200 moving average is a very, very good cheap price. Normally Bitcoin finds long-term support at around the 200 moving average. That's why our buy zone — you remember the buy zone — was based on the 200 moving average. We did have the massive, violent bounce off of it. A bit of sideways, but you see all the bearish candles — they got engulfed instantly. This one got engulfed. This other red one also got engulfed. So whatever bears tried, they could not succeed with anything. Bears tried and tried and tried but could not succeed with anything. You had the bulls step in and delete all bearishness from existence.
Four-year cycle traders returning to the market
Now you also have such a balance of bull and bear that there is simply no one to sell. There is simply no one to sell. Now finally the four-year cycle traders — who have been cycling and cycling and cycling, doing the tour de France — they are now coming back into the market. And of course the amount of money in those four-year cyclers, guys, it's a lot. It's a lot. You know how during the past few weeks we've been discussing that four-year cyclers are going to come back and they will be buying and pumping our bags because we bought before them? The bull flip in the money line was the beginning of September. We started already a bit before that at around the 200 moving average. And now the amount of money coming in is quite insane.
Big shout out to Ben, by the way. Many people follow Ben. Many people with a lot of money follow Ben, and all of them were fully sidelined — fully, fully sidelined — as a lower low was expected. And by the way, I love Ben. I love Ben. I think he's a bit too harsh on himself. You know, "I was wrong." It's markets. It's markets. Sometimes you're wrong, sometimes you're right. It's all about probabilities. As long as you're not liquidated, you're not wrong. But anyway, we don't have to discuss all of that again. All of these cyclers are coming back into the market.
And also we did see live how Ben Cowan and BitBoy met up. Listen to this: "Please forgive me. I doubted the mechanical rules." "I grant you forgiveness and share with you the power of mechanical rules." Big shout out to Small Peep for another cinematic masterpiece.
Now, some people are saying it's too much. Let me know, guys. I think it's funny as hell. We're here to have fun. I mean, we're dudes in the freaking crypto market. We're here to have fun. It's locker room talk. Some people say it's too much. I don't know. It's not too much. Big shout out to Ben. I love Ben. Ben is very ethical. Ben is a great guy. I don't even agree with his framing of "I was wrong." I mean, it's markets. It's risk-reward. But the best thing is trend following. That's the mechanical rules. Instead of trying to guess the four-year cycle, this month, what Bitcoin did last month, last July — just follow the freaking trend. Bullish is bullish. That's it. Don't overcomplicate it, guys.
Bitcoin spot ETF inflows and broader financial markets
Bitcoin spot ETFs are taking in a lot. Everyone is back. Maybe it is the four-year cyclers that are now deploying $1 billion into the market. The biggest inflow of the year has happened. At the same time, US stocks are pumping a lot as well. NASDAQ doing very, very well. Let's check the NASDAQ. Let's check the S&P. Fantastic. Look at this — up, up, up, up, and going to open even higher. Holy crap, guys. The S&P could go all-time high today. Financial markets doing very well. Doing extremely, extremely well. Financial markets on fire. Absolutely on fire. That's how we like it. And NASDAQ — oh, it's going to go to all-time high also.
Guys, now it's time to be in the freaking financial market. It's time to be in the financial market. Financial market doing very, very well. It's not the time to be conservative. People say, "I'm conservative." Why are you conservative? It's not the time to be conservative. Now we have a bull trend across the board — whether it is the S&P, whether it is the NASDAQ.
People have been saying, "Ivan, what about the oil? What about Iran and oil?" We said don't worry about the oil. Don't worry. It's freaking bullish. We don't overcomplicate too much because we're humble. This is where our humbleness comes from. People always tell me, "Ivan, you're so humble. Can you explain where your humbleness comes from?" It comes from the fact that we follow the damn trend and we don't overanalyze too much. Oil or not oil, man — if Wall Street is bidding and bidding and bidding, I trust Wall Street more than some freaking YouTuber or Twitter personality making a fat video about the tenth stock market crash of the last two stock markets. You know, every day you can watch a video about a stock market crash. If you know trading, you know that financial charts are the signal. You remove the noise. If you're a YouTuber and you want clicks, you're going to say "stock market collapse tomorrow — oil, Iran, stock market collapse." You're going to get the clicks. Instead, you follow the trend.
Bitcoin's fear and sentiment hit its highest level since 2024 as Bitcoin surged toward $87,000. Very, very good.
CNBC coverage and mainstream media turning bullish
CNBC is telling its millions of viewers that Bitcoin is setting up for a massive rally. Listen to this:
CNBC anchor: Currently at $85,791 and change. You've got a decent amount of crypto exposure. Take us through whether this feels good to you and whether or not you think there's any constructive move going forward.
Guest: I mean, just looking quarter to date, the S&P's up around two percent. I think the NASDAQ's down three. Ethereum's up 66%. Bitcoin's up similar to that, but they're both still down for the year — Ethereum's down seven, Bitcoin's down a couple percent. That being said, you're definitely above the 50, above the 200, and I think just like software—
Anyway, she's a bit boring, but she's bullish. That's it. They told everyone to buy. So that's that.
Altcoin overview — Cardano, Pangu, Polkadot, and others
Look here. Bitcoin is just shy of $100,000. Altcoins are completely reset after a five-year bear market. That's also, by the way, a true thing — many old coins didn't even create a new high in the last cycle. Many of these blue chips. And now potentially, as they go bull trend, there's going to be an interesting play to see if they can catch new highs. Now this is not something that is my personal strategy. I just like to ride the strength — whether it is Hyperliquid, whether it is lighter, whether it is Zcash or other things that we've been watching that are strong. But there is a potential that the older coins — for example, looking at Cardano — Cardano is going bull trend now. Can this thing finally dance?
We've been critical of Cardano in the bear, but at the same time in the bull, there's no need to be critical. In the bull, it's the bull. And now Cardano is going bull trend. So we're bullish Cardano. If they close the week — let's see, they need to close the week first — we're going to be bullish Cardano.
In the meanwhile, something else that's going bullish is Pangu. Let me know, guys, if you love Pangu. Man, Pangu now — if it goes here towards these highs, it's another 100% just to this resistance right here where the bad trend started, and then to these highs it's like a 300% pump. So Pangu is coming back into the arena. Pangu is turning bullish on the weekly. Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic.
Then you have Polkadot. Can DOT do something? I mean, potentially, guys, it is bull trend now. Potentially now it's time to be bullish on DOT. And DOT has $26 in transaction fees on their whole chain during a day. So it's a ghost chain. But listen — it's bull trend. You don't need an active chain for a bull trend to pump you. I mean, many things pump without it. It can just be a memecoin. Polkadot is a memecoin, you know. You don't need an active chain to pump. Memecoins pump without an active chain. So in the bull market, guys, don't worry too much about this metric or that metric. Everything goes from fundamental to meme. So if they have a bull trend, you're bullish. Don't worry too much. Everything is a meme in the bull. No one cares about metrics. People only care about whether it pumped. If it pumped, then it becomes a flywheel. A flywheel, flywheel, flywheel.
So all in all, DOT — can DOT go bull trend? We're very close. And then let's see if DOT can get back just here to this level — it's 200%. I'm not even saying that DOT will go to all-time high. Let's see. But just coming back here as a trade, just as a trade — come back and retest $3.80. Okay, it can happen, man. It can happen. Just go here. This would be horrible for the DOT hardcore believers, but imagine it went down like this, then it comes back here, gets rejected or something. I mean, it's still a trade. There's a lot of money to be made right here. Okay? So you don't have to be bullish DOT long-term to ride the bull trend. Do you understand?
People get so emotional in crypto. They get almost like they're in a romantic relationship with their coin. And you don't have to be that. Instead, you make money in the trend. When the trend is bull, you ride the bull. You ride the trend. Trend is over, you are out, and you find something else.
Telegram coin, Bitcoin Cash, and market gainers
Now, guys, something that's not really moving is the Telegram coin. Not pumping, not doing anything. Let's see. Bear still — bear, bear, bear.
Looking at the overall market, let's see the biggest gainers here. Oh, Bitcoin Cash. What the hell? What's happening, guys? BCash, man. BCash. Let's check BCash. Let me know, guys, if you are in BCash. I love the word BCash, by the way. I know that the fanatics don't like it when you call it BCash, but I think it's short. It's succinct. It's very nice. It's punchy.
New bull trend. And in many coins, by the way, you see that when they move this fast, you have to go to a bit lower time frame — like the daily — to see those moves. So for example, it's up 33% since the end of August. BCash on the weekly is only now flipping bullish. So to see the moves earlier, you have to go to the lower time frame. But it's only now flipping bullish, and yeah, let's see the potential here in BCash. Actually, the potential is not super big because it did not dump too much, so it's going to have a lot of resistance up here. Let's see. I would rather be in charts that are more dead and now look strong. Like, if I have to choose BCash versus — but yeah, here, actually, let me see Pangu. I want a big fall with no support. This — I like this more when it's a big fall and there hasn't been any support, which means there's no resistance on the way up.
Anyway, BCash up. Let me know if you love BCash. Pangu, Pangu, Pangu, Pangu up. Uniswap — what's happening? It's bull trend already. It is part of our model portfolio assets in Bulmania. If you are in Bulmania, you know — up 150% since the bull flip at the beginning of August. Continues to the upside. Very strong, guys.
Uniswap analysis and price targets
Uni could actually — oh guys, look here. Look here. Look here. Potentially now going to be crossing this. Yeah, okay, it did cross it. It tried crossing it before as well. I don't actually like diagonal lines. I don't actually like diagonal lines. I just have it here. I think we drew it back in 2024 or something. Anyway, diagonal lines are one of the lowest signal things you can use. A trend line is way better, or horizontal lines. But all in all, can it go to the highs here? Let's see the reward. It's 100% just to this high from November 2024, and then to get to this mega high is 300% — and that's just to get to the high. I mean, if it goes to all-time high, price discovery, Valhalla — very, very nice.
And yeah, Uniswap is one of these coins where there's something there. It's not going to be a fly-by-night scam or something. So some people like that — they feel calmer knowing that you only have to look at the chart. You don't have this second component of the trade, which is the scammer founder. So yeah, that's that.
ENA, Sui, and Bonk
Ivan, please look at ENA. Let's check ENA. ENA — it's not really moving today, but we're bullish. I'm very bullish on ENA, but at the same time only because of the chart. I'm not a fan of algorithmic stablecoin stuff too much. We did discuss it either last stream or the stream before that — the algorithmic stablecoin, there's always a risk with that. But as long as it's bull trend, we ride it. Overall it's strong. It's a new bull trend. So I'm bullish. I'm bullish on the price. When it comes to algorithmic stablecoins, I don't know, man. Maybe it gets depegged — who the hell knows. But let's see.
People ask about Sui. Sui is not bull trend yet, but soon it's going to be bull trend. And Sui, by the way — speaking about these charts without any support — is one of these charts where it doesn't have too much stuff until here. So it's 135% just returning back here, and then to the highs is 400%. So I mean, I'm bullish. Just give me bull trend, close above the bull line, and I'm bullish Sui also. I'm bullish everything that's bullish, if you haven't noticed.
We're bullish Sui. Maybe now is the banana zone. Yeah, people in Sui were promised the banana zone. They got one banana like this, and maybe now we get the other banana. The banana zone, global liquidity — maybe it's going to be like this, the second banana. Okay, I mean, I'm all for that. I'm all for that. I don't want to be riding the banana down. We avoided that fully. But now maybe the banana is up. So we're bullish now. The banana zone, guys. Global liquidity is going to pump us. So that's totally correct.
Let's see what Bonk is doing. It's not yet bull trend on the weekly, but nowadays checking the daily is also good because you see sometimes they move so fast that on the weekly you get a bit of a late signal. On the daily it could be faster. So in about two days it's going to be confirmed bullish on the daily. Okay, so yeah — Bonk looking okay. Still not bullish on the weekly, but getting bullish on the daily.
HBar analysis
People ask about HBar. Let's check HBar. What's happening with our dear, dear HBar? Oh yeah, very good. If HBar closes the week, it's going to be a bull trend. And what do we see here with HBar? To let's say this high, you have 200%. To this there's going to be a bit of resistance here — 50% pump. To this high you have 200%. So yeah, I mean, a lot, a lot of gains to be made. A lot of gains to be made.
HBar — who the hell knows what HBar is? Does it have users? It has no users. I don't know, guys. I don't think it has many users. Has anyone used HBar? Have you guys used HBar? I've never used HBar. I don't know anyone who's actually using HBar — like actually using it, not just buying it on an exchange. So that's that. But in a bull market, it doesn't matter. No one cares about that. In a bull market, everything is a meme. HBar is just a meme. It's a meme for boomers. It's some kind of chain for boomers, right? It's like XRP but for another type of boomer. XRP is for one type of boomer. HBar is like XRP but with smart contracts for boomers. That's the audience. When I speak to more of a boomer audience, they either love XRP or some of them also love HBar. It's like the boomer coins. And it's a bull trend. So bullish, bullish, bullish, bullish. We love that.
Hyperliquid and Jupiter vs Radium
How about HYPE? I think HYPE went to all-time high yesterday. This is a freaking monster. It's a monster, guys. It's a monster. We love HYPE. It keeps going higher. Yeah, I mean, there's nothing more to add. It's bullish since March. It does all-time high after all-time high. We love it. We love it. We love it. HYPE is very, very good.
Jupiter also good — bull trend. Let's see if it starts to catch up with Radium. You remember we said that we're more towards Radium because Radium is pumping a bit faster. So yeah, Jupiter bull trend — very good. Radium also bull trend, but it pumps a bit faster. So it's a bit of a faster horse in terms of the Solana DEXes. So currently we are a bit heavier towards Radium than Jupiter. But let's see if Jupiter can catch up. We watched this chart yesterday — Jupiter versus Radium versus Jupiter. You see Radium is leading. As long as this chart is green, it means that Radium is leading.
Handling losing positions — IMX
Okay, someone asks: "IMX back from last cycle. Sell and take the loss or is there any potential for the run?" Let's see. You need something that fixes your mental prison. Okay.
There are a few options here. Let me get the best chart. So you have here — I mean, man, at this point I would just freaking hodl it and maybe it returns. You know, you suffered so much. The professional answer and then the YOLO answer. The professional way to do it would be to take part of your bag and put it into bullish trends, because you want to be in bullish trends. But don't go in one click, because if you go in one click, what's going to happen? There is a chance that right after you sell, this thing goes to Valhalla and you're going to feel terrible and you're going to chase it and you're going to lose even more money. Okay, so you know — one portion at a time, you move into bull trends, strong assets, whether it's Zcash, HYPE, I mean even Solana bull trend, ETH — even ETH is freaking bull trend — BNB. You want to be in bull assets, but you know, I would do it stepwise. Because let's say you move 10% — you begin with 10%. Already in a few days you're going to feel better if that 10% actually starts going up faster than this IMX. And maybe IMX also comes back. So then you feel good in both scenarios.
Here you need to ensure that you're good in both scenarios, because there is a chance now that we are back in bull that this thing does a Valhalla thing here. And at the same time, you don't necessarily want to be a prisoner of your own mind in this thing — which you already are. You've probably suffered here for two years. Imagine: two years you open your portfolio every day and you see loss, loss, loss. Here for a few weeks you got a bit of hope. Maybe you were happy for the first time in years — these few weeks right before your hope was crashed again. Okay, here you had another ray of sun come into your life for a few short weeks before it fully got destroyed again and your soul got crushed even further down. So you already suffered a lot here. You can keep suffering. But the best way I would say is to move at least part of it into bullish assets, because bull trend just means that it's more likely to make you money faster. And then you feel better already there. That's the first step. You're not just a prisoner. It's going to be easier for you then to move over even more. And in case this thing goes Valhalla, you still have it also. Something like that I would do.
Ki Young Ju's Bitcoin cycle prediction
CryptoQuant CEO Ki Young Ju says he expects this Bitcoin cycle to deliver three to five times rather than ten times. I love Ki Young Ju. Big shout out to Ki Young Ju. He was fully incorrect on the bear market. He also apologized publicly. So ethical guy, great guy, but he was fully incorrect. But maybe he's correct now. Let's see. He says it's going to deliver three to five times rather than ten times. I don't know, man. It could go ten times. What is his reasoning? I don't think it's smart to cap the potential here. Just look when the trend ends and keep it simple. It could easily go ten times.
I mean, listen — let's say it goes five times and it just keeps moving. You're going to sell? Why would you sell? You sell only when there is a bear trend — either on the daily or the weekly. So when you look at Bitcoin and the overall targets people have, they say that it's diminishing returns. And normally I would agree. But in the world we live in right now, where Nvidia stocks go from billions to tens of billions to hundreds of billions to trillions and see no diminishing returns — I mean, the stock market sees no diminishing returns. So this traditional view that when an asset grows it should have diminishing returns — with the amount of money printing and the amount that tech is growing, there is little diminishing return currently. So maybe it will be diminishing return. I mean, who knows, it's possible. But at the same time, just follow the trend. Why do you have to pick? We just ride it until it ends. Whether it's five times or ten times, we're happy with all of it.
Solana update and market sentiment
Solana up 23% since the flip. As you remember, you should also follow on Twitter because when I have an opinion on the market, I do post videos. So here on August 31st, we said we're bullish Solana. We were bearish in the bear. Now we're bullish. So since August 31st, bull, bull, bull, bull. Why? What happened? Solana turned bullish on the trend. So Twitter is very, very important.
Now, guys, wouldn't it be crazy — now that Ben apologized — if we actually did make a new low? I think it's low chance, but it would be crazy, man. It would be crazy. Imagine Ben says, "I'm sorry, guys. I was wrong." And then boop — we actually go to the lows. Markets are brutal, man. Markets are brutal. Actually, it would surprise me. I don't think it's going to happen, but that would be crazy. The guy just apologized. He got all of the four-year cyclers back in. They bought $1 billion in one day. And then bam, we go to $50K. Man, that would be crazy, guys. That would be crazy. No, I don't think it's going to happen. But you know, crypto markets are brutal. Anything can happen. Anything can happen. That's why we are adapting to any trend that's going to happen.
Cathie Wood and ARK Innovation underperformance
Cathie Wood — let's open her ETF. ARK Innovation. Let's see, let's see, let's see, let's see, guys. It's very bad. Like, this is not good. It's not even above the 2021 high. This is Cathie Wood. It's very bad, because you may say, "Oh, but it's up." Okay, man. Look at any tech stock since this dump here in 2021. Take ARK versus Meta. Let's see actually how it looks. ARK versus Meta — you see it's just down and down and down and down and down and down. Take any — Apple. Okay, Apple. You know, she picks like the worst ones. She picks the losers. You see ARK versus Apple — down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down, down. I mean, you don't even have to be in AI specifically. Just Google. ARK versus Google — down, down, down. What's happening, Cathie? What's happening? Why are you picking the losers?
Let's see BTC actually. Is she outperforming BTC? No. No, she's not. Yeah, I cannot find anything in tech that she's outperforming. I cannot find it. Okay, let's see. What could it be that she's outperforming? I don't know. ARK Innovation and then you pick the losers and it's below the highs. Let's see ARK versus SanDisk. I know it's a bit unfair — SanDisk has like the monster performance. Ah, she explains. Okay, I don't know what she's doing, guys, to be honest. I don't know what she's doing.
But anyway, she's famous. So let's see what she says. The crazy thing is she's correct in theory. I mean, she does say correct things, but then she buys the losers. As the stock market hits record highs — guys, wait. ARK versus S&P. Man, you cannot lose versus the S&P. The S&P — the dumbest possible investor can buy the S&P. Yeah, since 2017, you should have just bought the S&P. You cannot lose versus the S&P, man. Your innovation index — your innovation. Let's see versus NASDAQ, guys. I mean, you literally could have bought anything. You could have bought anything. Freaking S&P would be better than ARK. But anyway, so what does she say? As the stock market hits record highs in the face of high rates, she believes current contributions will continue to impact the global economy. Yada yada yada. But not ARK. ARK is down very much.
Trump and MicroStrategy
Guys, look here. President Trump just filed multiple July purchases of MicroStrategy. Okay, this is interesting. MicroStrategy is bullish on the money line. It's up 21% since the bull flip. And now Trump is going to be in it. Trump is going to be in it. Let's see. Verify if it's correct. Maybe it's fake news, but that's that.
Macro indicators — copper, gold, oil
Copper up means the economy is growing. People need copper to build. China is importing gold. Gold bidding, bidding, bidding. Oil is a bit high. No one cares though. No one cares. Stock market up and up and up and up and up.
Pudgy Penguins and meme market commentary
Pudgy Penguins — if I had to guess, Pudgy Penguins is the breakout meme of the entire cycle that the trenches aren't really allocated to. That's true. Why is it the biggest sleeper in the meme side of the market? The Pudgy Penguins brand does ten to twenty plus million in annual recurring revenue. Let me actually retweet it. Very, very true. No doubt about that. We invested early. Yeah, I agree, by the way. The trenches now know everything and break the news faster than anyone else. Exactly. As soon as there's some kind of news — Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, follows the main Pudgy Penguins page. Okay, some news with Mark Zuckerberg and something there on Pudgy Penguins. Okay.
Blockchain gaming — Kaggi's critique
Guys, blockchain gaming. Kaggi — do we have Kaggi in the chat? He is saying it's a big scam. He's saying it's a big scam. You do have some growth. For example, Pixels — never heard of this thing. And Kaggi clarified what he meant when he said that all gaming is a scam. So this is us reacting to Kaggi and Kaggi is reacting to us. You remember yesterday we discussed that Kaggi said that all gaming is a scam. So listen to this:
Kaggi: Shout out to Ivan on Tech, right? He talked about how I've been saying it's a scam. Let's see what he has to say.
Ivan on Tech: Gaming — all gaming is a scam. Like Kaggi says. I asked Kaggi, you know, a gaming YouTuber — is gaming good now? He said no. Everything is a scam. He said all of the gaming founders are just scamming. They're fleecing the audience. They're just scamming and scamming and scamming. Is Kaggi in the chat now? Kaggi even said that he's considering becoming a scammer. He's very disappointed in the gaming industry. He's very disappointed in the gaming industry.
Kaggi: Very disappointed.
Let's hear what he said. So basically, guys, gaming is non-existent. Let me see where he is here. Here. "GM. Really thinking about becoming one. It pays well in this industry and there are no consequences."
Kaggi: Most founders raise a lot of money and their excuse is basically that games fail all the time. The thing is that they didn't deliver with the money that they got from investments. Yes, it is true there are more than 70,000 games on Steam, Roblox, and we're talking about hundreds of thousands of games coming out every single year. But most of those founders do not even have $100,000 to build their games. They work nine to five. They put a little bit of money in and they don't have marketing power. They don't have a team. They don't have anything. They don't even have a community. A lot of the times these games already start with a community of 500, a thousand, 2,000 people here in crypto — with money and with a team. So basically, to blame it on the gaming industry failures is just wrong. It's incorrect. A lot of these founders just took the money and ran away with it. We're talking about a lot of money. We're talking about some $100 million, some $50 million, some $20 million, some $30 million, some $15 million, some $5 million. The other part is that a lot of these games are making Ponzi games, which is fine — it's like gambling and all of that. But once you make a lot of money with your little Ponzi games or whatever, you have to expand your company into creating games for the masses. We have eight billion people in the world, allegedly. Take some of that money and try to expand your gaming company into something bigger, generate revenue, and bring it back to a token through a community treasury, through buybacks and burns. Probably buybacks and burns are not a great idea in the gaming world. The velocity of money is not the same necessarily as memes or DeFi. I think Axie has done a great job at that, right? Axie has done a great job. Right now they have like maybe $40 million in their treasury — a community treasury controlled by AXS holders. So that is a start. That is a good start.
Ivan on Tech: So there you go, guys. Let's see if gaming can recover. Kaggi, I have a question — why do you have such an ugly background, man? Put some effort. Put some wall panels. You can just buy these panels, you know, tree panels. It's very easy to have a nice background. Why just a white wall? It's such an easy thing to fix. A $50 fix. Literally a $50 fix. Just buy these wall panels. You don't even have to attach them to the wall. Just lean them towards the wall. You're going to have such a nicer background. For premium background, you need a nice bookshelf like we have right here — that's the ultimate level. For something a bit cheaper, just buy the freaking panels for the wall. You don't even have to attach them. Just lean them — boop — like this towards the wall. Big shout out to Kaggi. A bit of interior design advice from us. Not financial advice, but interior design advice. We have that, guys.
Q&A — Solidity development and the future of coding
Let's go to Q&A. We already did like half of the show on your coins that you want to discuss. Let's go to Q&A, guys.
Dev with web two experience — do you think the future of Solidity development is worth getting into? Anything specific to focus on to avoid?
I mean, it depends, man. It depends. With any coding, you need to use AI and you need to ensure that it's secure — that's it. Is there a future in coding with Solidity? I think so, because at the end of the day we are moving towards on-chain finance. You need Solidity for that. But it's just that development is changing so fast, so you really need to love it to be needed. What do I mean by that? All of the basic stuff that you could have been paid for before — no one is getting paid for that now. AI is used for that. Then someone needs to ensure that the freaking thing is secure, and there you need super highly experienced people. High-end people. Okay. So with all development, it does become a bit — can you use AI, can you not use AI? And then at the end of the day, you cannot ship to production without anyone senior checking. And so that's where the big money is going to be. These super senior guys who can check and ensure everything. High IQ guys. Exactly. High IQ.
That's why OpenZeppelin got acquired. SNP acquired OpenZeppelin. OpenZeppelin is just open-source smart contracts. So there's nothing to acquire, but there's talent. There are all of the super senior smart contract devs that are now going to be working for SNP. So at the end of the day, it's like with any development — man, thank God I was a developer in 2016. You know, in 2016, you could be a developer, you do some simple button, you do React. Oh, everyone's like, "Thank you very much. Here is a big paycheck." Now I don't know. I mean, developers — now it's like low status. You know, sweat shop. You're not even needed if you're not senior. It's crazy. The status change of developer is crazy, man. It's crazy. You only need a few and they need to be very good and they need to be senior and they need to be amazing. Okay, before you could be not that smart — if you could do a shiny button in React, you would have a kind of high-paying job. Now I don't know, man. I don't know. I'm sorry for developers. Thank God I was a developer in 2016 and then I found crypto. Thank you very much. Imagine if I did not find crypto. Holy crap, guys. I would be now probably begging for work. "Please hire me. Please, I can code. I promise I can code."
How is the job market? How is the job market, guys? Let me know in the comment section. How is the job market for developers? My understanding is bloodbath. Like it's very bad. It's very bad. So ideally you don't want to be somewhere where AI can automate too much. All development is going to automate — even if it cannot be trusted in production now, okay, give it two years, give it five. It's coming. It's coming. It's coming. It's coming. It's the most automatable thing ever — freaking code. It's crazy that developers automated themselves. The AI automated devs first, not the plumber. I would tell you — go become a plumber. Probably that's going to take a bit longer. Isn't it crazy? Everyone thought that robots are going to automate the blue collar first, but they automated the white collar. So oh — Matt says he's already a plumber. Exactly. So basically, Matt, you can start an online school. Upskill yourself from a developer to a plumber. What a crazy turn of events. You know how the roles have shifted? All jobs are great, but historically in the food chain, developer was a bit better. Not anymore, man. Not anymore.
Plum Mania. You need to buy an online course from Matt, guys. I think — become a plumber. Become a plumber. Do business. Do HVAC installation. It's tough, man. It's tough. Or ideally what you can do is become an investor, become a trader. That's probably the best, because you need to be an owner. In this day and age, you need to become an owner of assets. Learn financial markets so you can own this stuff that's happening. You don't get losing money in this transition — that's very bad. Number one, you need to ensure you don't lose money. And then you need to grow it. You need to grow it and grow it and grow it so you can be an owner. Otherwise, guys, it's going to be hunger games. I mean, literally hunger games. I cannot give you good advice if you're a developer. Okay, the job market is cooked. You need to be an owner. You need to be good at financial markets. You need to own assets.
The future of renovation and Optimus robots
Honestly though, making a good wage in trading and DCAing and investing in crypto is working for me. Yeah. So at the end of the day, in this day and age, you need something that AI cannot do. And yeah, physical AI is still not physical. Maybe it's going to come, but who knows how long it's going to take. Elon is trying with the Optimus. How long until Optimus changes a pipe? I don't know, man. Probably a long time. Probably a very long time. But I can see the future where you want to do a renovation — ten Optimus come in, they renovate your house. Wouldn't that be crazy?
Guys, the whole market of renovation, man — it's ripe. It's freaking ripe for disruption. It's ripe for disruption because humans cannot do a good job. Like they can't, they can't, they can't, they can't, they can't. Has anyone renovated and it's been a smooth, relaxing experience? I think it's going to be soon with all of the AIs. You use AI to create a nice render of the room interior design — the best interior design is already in AI. Then the same AI comes with five Optimus robots — exactly millimeter precision, just like in the render. I think that's going to be the future. That would be amazing, man. That would be amazing. I would be paying — I can pay three times more for that just to have a nice experience and not to worry. Okay, I would pay three times more than to have a human home renovation. Literally, if I can have freaking AI — we do the render with AI, we make it like a Dubai hotel high-end room, and I know it's going to be exact like in the render, and five Optimus are going to do it like in a day. Oh my god. Give me that. I can pay a lot. A lot. Elon, let's go. Let's disrupt the builders. Let's disrupt the builders.
So guys, at the end of the day, even the builders — you have maybe five years left. Okay, maybe five years left. Then Optimus is going to do it. I don't know. I don't know why renovation has not — what's happening, guys? Why is renovation not a good experience? Many things are a good experience, but renovation is very bad experience still. Why? Why? Why? You put a brick on top of another brick — we've been doing it for thousands of years, renovation and building, for thousands of years, and still humanity has not fixed a freaking nice, relaxing experience for renovation. It's ripe for disruption like there's no tomorrow. If I wouldn't be in crypto, I would probably be doing that. We're going to charge so much and we're going to send in Optimus.
