Digital Asset News launches a public Bitcoin price prediction accountability tracker

Rob from Digital Asset News introduces a free community website tracking Bitcoin price predictions from major crypto influencers and analysts.

Summary

Rob, the host of Digital Asset News, introduces a new free community website called PriceProphets.com — a play on "price predictions" — designed to hold Bitcoin price forecasters publicly accountable. The site, built using Claude AI and hosted at zero cost via Cloudflare and AWS, tracks predictions from roughly 17–19 figures including Peter Schiff, Tom Lee, Plan B, Tim Draper, Standard Chartered, and Bernstein, with all source links automatically archived to the Wayback Machine to prevent deletion. Rob also shares his own prediction of $150,000–$170,000 for Bitcoin by 2029, and notes a trend of the cycle blow-off top arriving one month earlier each cycle — December 2017, November 2021, October 2025 — suggesting the next peak could arrive in September rather than Q4 2029. He closes with inflation data showing significant price increases across everyday goods over the past seven years, arguing this reinforces Bitcoin's value as an inflation hedge.

Key Takeaways

  • PriceProphets.com holds forecasters accountable in real time. Every prediction is archived to the Wayback Machine automatically, meaning forecasters cannot delete or walk back their calls. The site is free to use and community-driven.
  • The prediction spectrum is wide. Peter Schiff predicts Bitcoin falls to $20,000 in 2026; Bernstein predicts $150,000–$200,000 by end of 2026; Tim Draper says $250,000 by 2027; Plan B says $200,000 by 2026. Rob's own call is $150,000–$170,000 by 2029.
  • Rob includes himself on the tracker. He emphasizes that he is not exempt from accountability and that his own prediction is publicly listed and archived alongside everyone else's.
  • The blow-off top trend is shifting earlier each cycle. The cycle peaks have moved from December 2017 to November 2021 to October 2025 — a one-month-earlier trend each time — raising the possibility that the next peak could arrive in September 2029, not Q4 as most expect.
  • Diminishing returns are a key part of Rob's conservative outlook. All-time-low to all-time-high returns have gone from 116x to 21x to 8x across successive cycles, which underpins his relatively modest $150,000–$170,000 target compared to more bullish forecasters.
  • The GENIUS Act passage in July 2025 preceded the blow-off top by roughly two and a half months. Rob raises the possibility that if the Clarity Act passes in 2026, it could similarly accelerate price action and potentially validate the more bullish 2026 predictions.
  • Inflation data reinforces the Bitcoin investment case. Over the past seven years, shelter is up 35%, health insurance up 38%, coffee up 127%, ground beef up 79%, and eggs up 72% — while US federal debt has grown by $3 trillion in the past 12 months alone to nearly $40 trillion.
  • Community submissions are needed to grow the tracker. Viewers can submit predictions via a form on the site, providing the forecaster's name, platform, direction, target price, deadline, and source link.

Introduction and the purpose of the price prediction tracker

Host: Today on the show we're going to do something a little bit different. This is going to be more of a Q&A type of session. We're going to talk a little bit about what's going on in the market, but I think we all understand pretty much where we're at. This is a bear market — not as bad as 2022 and 2018. We actually had some pretty good fluctuations to the upside, so things are looking pretty good.

What I want to talk to you about today is something that I've been briefly touching on the last couple of days, which is all about price predictions and accountability. The idea is that with these price predictions, some of them carry a lot of weight, and some of them tend to just be put out there by people who have a huge following. Because of that, I thought it'd be a good idea to make a little bit of a tracker.

The thing is, I'm going to need a lot of people's help to make this actually work. This is going to be a free community project, and also a place where you can go back and say, "Okay, who was right? Who has been right for a long time? And who is wrong? Who has been wrong — like big-time wrong?" That's the whole thing.

Looking back: past price predictions were wrong

We did a couple of videos about five months ago and nine months ago. One was where I took a look back — this was in a 2025 video — and I said, "Hey, guess what? Everybody was wrong." That was the top Bitcoin price predictions for 2020 and 2021. I linked that in the description. It wasn't even close. Nobody got even close to where their price predictions were.

Now, we all know — or we all should know — that price predictions are just dumb. But they are fun and they are entertaining. I just don't want people to get caught up in them, especially the new people who are eventually going to come in. Because in a bear market, the newbies aren't here. They don't show up until probably the halving, when everybody starts to talk about this magical four-year cycle and how everything's going to go to the moon. People give these crazy price predictions, those people show up, and they get absolutely wrecked.

That is part of the reason why we see such a discourse going on with the Clarity Act — which, if you don't know, I'm just going to tease you on this one: I don't think it's going to pass. This is from the guy over at Coin Bureau. Democrats called the Clarity Act a corrupt bill and threatened to vote against it. Three US senators said they will not support the bill unless it includes ethics rules preventing officials — we know who that is — from personally profiting from crypto. So again, hopefully this actually passes. But to get back to the point: price predictions. That was the first video, and then I did a follow-up in 2025 where I said, "Guess what? Everybody's wrong again."

    Introducing PriceProphets.com

So this is what I made — actually, I didn't make this. Claude made this. Claude is great. It's got its limitations, and it gets kind of pricey as token usage goes crazy, but it can create you a website in almost no time flat. And what's even better: if you use places like Cloudflare and AWS, do you know how much you pay for website hosting? Zero. You pay zero dollars.

So if you have a website and you don't get that much traction — it's just a static website — did you know you can transfer it right now over to Cloudflare, which is a major, massive, publicly traded company? It's not some fly-by-night operation. You use Amazon Web Services for something like an email autoresponder and marketing. You can switch it all over. The reason people didn't do it before was because of the technical limitations — you're not a developer. Well, guess what? Claude is your developer now, and this goes for almost every website out there for the majority. Now, if you're getting 10,000 or 20,000 views per month, this might not be for you.

As we take a look at it, this is what Claude did. The website is PriceProphets.com. It's a little play on words — instead of "price predictions," it's "price profits." And instead of "profits" spelled P-R-O-F-I-T-S, it's P-R-O-P-H-E-T-S.

    Who's on the tracker

Who's on the list? I've put in roughly between 17 and 19 people so far. You can break this down by price and by time. It's pretty simple.

On the more conservative end, you've got somebody like Peter Schiff, who says Bitcoin goes to $20,000 in 2026. I don't expect him to be right because he's never been right. Then there are a couple of newer names. Crypto Rover — which looks to be pretty good, I didn't know this was actually a thing — predicts Bitcoin will go between $40,000 and $50,000 in the fall of 2026, which is pretty much where I have it at, actually. And then another one called Dr. Profit — no idea who that is — but also $40,000 to $50,000 in the fall of 2026. Those are the more conservative ones.

On the other end of the spectrum: Standard Chartered thinks it's going to be $100,000. Bernstein thinks $150,000 to $200,000 by end of 2026. Tim Draper, $250,000 by 2027. Plan B thinks $200,000 by 2026. And then there's Tom Lee — I actually like Tom. Great head of hair.

You can also sort by time and say, "Okay, who thinks 2026? Who thinks 2027?" My price prediction was put out just this past Sunday with me and Jerry. I think it's going to go to $150,000 to $170,000.

    How the accountability mechanism works

The thing with websites and how they do things is: how do you keep this accountable? Well, if you click on anybody's profile — I'll click on mine — the status is "pending." I called this in July 2026. You can see the call right there. That goes for everybody. Everybody's call has been saved to the Wayback Machine. Everybody. So there's no "I'm going to post this here and then delete it." No, you're not. Not anymore. I'm going to save every single one of them, and I'm going to call you out.

When you go to the archive — it might take a bit because it's the Wayback Machine — you can see the link to the website right there. And when it comes up, you can see it's been saved. Or if you want to see the call right now, you click on the link and it'll bring up wherever the call was made.

And the same thing goes for everyone else. Let's take Tom Lee. Tom Lee says $200,000 to $250,000. Let's see the call — it's on some Bitcoin news site. And let's see the archive. And look at that: Claude set it up so that it automatically saves to the Wayback Machine, so you can't delete it. That's kind of fun. And that is PriceProphets.

How to submit a prediction to the tracker

Here's what I need from you. First of all, I don't have that many people in here — these are just the ones I was thinking of. I need your input as to who should actually go on here. I'd also like to point your attention to Peter Brandt, who's making some pretty reasonable calls lately. I think he might actually be pretty close.

On the top right-hand corner of the site, there's a button called "Submit a Call." When you click on that, all I'm asking for is: whoever was making this call, making this crazy price prediction — who said, "Hey, guess what, it's banana zone time" — put in who made that call, the platform or handle, any social media. The direction: are they bullish or bearish? Peter Schiff, bearish. Pretty much everybody else, bullish. Call type: is it end of year, cycle top, cycle bottom? What's the target? What's the deadline? And give me the source. If you want to, put in exactly what they said. You can put in your handle on YouTube — optional, for credit. So if, say, A1 Rising puts something in there and includes his handle, I can give him a shout out: "Hey, A1 Rising put this one out here."

    Why this tracker matters

That is essentially it in a nutshell for PriceProphets. I just wanted to bring this to everybody's attention because I think it's kind of ridiculous that these people get away with this year after year after year — just calling the most ridiculous things of all time — without people having it available at their fingertips easily. Right now I can do a video about how they're wrong, but it gets buried in all the other videos and people just forget about it. I want this to be at the forefront of people's thought process: "That's an interesting theory. I wonder how right that person is." All you have to do is go right back here.

Inflation data and the Bitcoin investment case

Just to give a little bit of good news about why I think Bitcoin is a pretty good investment — it's all about inflation. Yesterday we talked about how inflation came down, and I think we had another reading: the PPI, the producer price index, actually went down as well. So that's good for inflation and good for the Federal Reserve as they try to hit their target of 2%. But even if we don't hit 2% — which I don't think we will — I just want to show you this from Charlie Bilello. I always like his information.

If you just sit on your cash — and I think we all know this, but the newbies don't really know it so much — it just melts away. This is the price increase of the last seven years. New cars, up 22%. Used cars, up 29–30% — which is weird. Shelter and housing, up 35%. Health insurance, up 38%. Transportation. And the biggest offenders: coffee, up 127%. Ground beef, up 79%. A dozen eggs, up 72%. Fuel, up 60%. House prices, up 60%.

This is why you can't get away from Bitcoin. It is, I would think, a hedge against inflation. Just take a look at the price of Bitcoin in 2011 as opposed to right now today. And that's why I will keep investing in it. Also, don't forget: US government federal debt is now almost $40 trillion, up $3 trillion in the last 12 months. So good luck to everybody.

Q&A: price predictions, cycle trends, and the Clarity Act

Host: Tim says, "My prediction is higher." My prediction is very low and very conservative. The reason is I always said there are two groups of people. You'll have the group over here saying it's going to zero or maybe $10 for Bitcoin — the Peter Schiffs and Dan Penas of the world. Then you've got people over here shouting that it's going to a million dollars or a bajillion or whatever. And they're never right. They're never right. So I think, like everything, the truth is usually found somewhere in the middle — especially with all the stories you read about on social media.

With mine, I just took a look at it, and there's something I'd like to bring up right now that I didn't mention earlier. My prediction was $150,000 to $170,000 in 2029. I know it doesn't seem like a lot, and it's not — but that's just the diminishing ROI.

One of the things I looked at, and I should really talk about this more, is that we've always been in Q4 as far as the four-year cycle blow-off top goes. The last one was October 2025. The cycle before that was November 2021. The cycle before that was December 2017. But do you see where things are going as far as a trend? I'm not saying it's going to happen, but in 2017 we were in December. In 2021, a month behind in November. In 2025, another month behind in October. So if you just went by the trend: December, November, October — maybe September. Maybe we don't see a Q4 blow-off top.

It wouldn't surprise me either, because I think as we go into the next cycle, everybody's going to expect a blow-off top sometime in Q4 2029 — because that's what we've been conditioned for. However, the trend is not looking too favorable for that. December, November, October, and then September.

And the trend has definitely been diminishing returns on investment. All-time-low to all-time-high looks pretty nice, right? 116x, 21x, 8x. But if you take a look at all-time-high to all-time-high, it's not much. It's not much at all. So that's where we're at.

Trump's going to get it done — let's sure hope so. I've got no problems with that. If they can push it over, great.

Who here remembers when the GENIUS Act was approved or passed the Senate? Looks like it was July 18th, 2025. Two months and a half later — couple months and some change — we got our blow-off top. So maybe if we get a Clarity Act this year, maybe everything goes out the window. Maybe these price prophets are correct. Maybe Robert Kiyosaki will be correct at $250,000. Maybe Arthur Hayes will be correct at $125,000 by December 2026. Maybe Bitwise at $150,000 by end of year 2026. Maybe Bernstein will be right at $150,000 to $200,000. Could happen. Could happen. Boy, that'd be something, wouldn't it?

Ben is saying the most probable lows are October to November because of past trend. I think $60,000 is going to be hard to break. We've held it — it's a level of resistance, as the TA folks say.

Jimmy says, "I think we can have Claude or Grok do a search for influencer Twitter accounts one by one. Start with BitBoy." Man, talk about a fall from grace. Poor BitBoy.

And on the GENIUS Act: "I'm surprised they didn't call it the Stable Genius Act." That's pretty good.

Patience is a virtue. All right, everybody. Check out the website and tell me where I need to improve and what you guys want to see. And remember, whatever you want to put in, just send it via that little link at the very top right-hand corner. Submit it and we'll get it done.
